Someone’s got to do the first steps…

I have been thinking of creating a blog of my own for a long time now. I've frequent a lot of Forums (well, Pinoy Exchange) and I've read through blogs (mostly about food) so my interest is kind of piqued, although every time I do try to start one I ended up writing nothing. I’m not good at expressing opinions and stuffs, the introvert in me says that I’m not ready to face opposition if ever someone disagrees on any topic that I’ll post. Or I might get the ire of grammar Nazis, if ever they chance on my blog. Plus the fact that I really don’t have something interesting to write about. I’m kind of the sleep-work-home guy. That, I think, is about to change =)

For the past month I've been going through some major decisions. I’m close to accepting the fact that civil service is indeed the path I’m destined to take, so I enrolled myself on a Master Degree program in Public Administration to support that. I’m still open for a lot of changes and possibilities (setting up that hotdog stand in Canada being one of them, more of it in another entry) but for now, my current employment would do. Anyway, I really look forward on being a student again and this time, I would want to get better grades than the ones I got on my Bachelors degree. Engineering is way out of my comfort zone. The Academe experience would hopefully give me enough material to write about.

And I plan to travel a lot in the coming months. Yup, I’m cash-strapped and my sched’s a mess but that won't mean I can’t go out. Screw class schedules! (lol, sabi ko ng magtitino ako sa studies eh!) I’ll write about food we ate when I and my mom (or my friends) dine out. Mostly about chicken and chips (or fries, yup these are my staple foods).

Ang haba no? Sa totoo lang, na encourage lang ako mag blog kasi I saw this on my FB wall:

My brother is into blogging and he got a nice one. Papatalo ba naman ako ahahahaha! Gandang motivation! I'm still new to this blogging thing so magpapaturo pa ko sa kanya on layout and stuffs. Isipin ko na rin that this would be a good exercise to enrich my vocabulary and hopefully improve my writing skills.
